Course Description: Building construction, environmental control systems and project management within the scope of detailed project. Preparation of detailed project. Preparation of detailed project according to building codes and regulations such as earthquake. Integration of building sub-systems such as load bearing, installation, mechanical, electrical systems. Preparing documents and detail drawings according to municipal drawing principles.
Course Objectives: The main objective of the course is to make students become aware of the difficulties of transforming the conceptual architectural idea to a real construction project.
COURSE OUTLINE
Week Topics
1 Introduction into the course. Delivering of the materials of case study, PPT Presentation of the specificity of office building design
2 Consultation on the case study. Site selection
3 Case study presentation. Site analysis
4 Work on the siteplan in the scale 1:500 (Sketch). First idea proposal for the project in scale 1:500
5 Consultation on plans in scale 1:200
6 Consultation on the whole project in scale 1:100
7 First preliminary jury
8 Consultation on all plans drawn in AutoCAD and printed in 1:50 sc. Consultation on the siteplan
9 Final consultation on sections printed in 1:50 sc. Facades consultation with choice of the façade materials and color solution
10 Consultation on the whole project. Consultation on the detailed drawings of facades in 1:50
11 Consultation on the whole project
12 Second preliminary jury
13 Consultation on the project in 1:50 sc. Consultation on the construction details 1:20-1:10 sc
