Course Description: Lënda është e konceptuar si e përbërë prej disa pjesëve, të cilat ofrojnë njohuri për sa i përket elementëve të domosdoshëm për ekzistencën e shtetit si subjekt i së drejtës ndërkombëtare, krijimin e organizatave joqeveritare dhe ndërqeveritare, institutet kryesore të së së Drejtës Ndërkombëtare të Detit, të së Drejtës Ndërkombëtare të Traktateve, të së Drejtës Diplomatike dhe Konsullore, të së Drejtës Ndërkombëtare Humanitare, etj. Vëmendje e veçantë u kushtohet mekanizmave ndërkombëtarë për zgjidhjen paqësore të konflikteve ndërkombëtare.
Course Objectives: This course is intended to introduce students to the basic concepts and problems of public international law and of the international legal system. The course will cover the most important topics of this field such as the sources and subjects of international law, the jurisdiction of states, international law and the use of force, and the relationship between international law and the domestic law of states. It will also address newer topics in international law such as the international law of human rights and international criminal law. The course will review and discuss a number of international law cases decided by national and international tribunals, as well as certain treaties, resolutions and other international legal instruments of importance.
