Course Description: The subject European contract law aims to explore in order to compare European contract laws. The course will focus on the concept of a "common" contract law, that is, the common principles of of contract law in EU countries. The subject will study at the same time the European-international sources of contract law as well as the Vienna Convention on the Sale of Goods (CISG), the draft framework of joint reference prepared for the European Commission and the Common Law for European Sales proposed by the European Commission. The subject will also focus on the principles and rules of European contract law, market rules, contractual actions, movement of goods, services and securities, as well as best practices in this field.
Course Objectives: European contract law aims to comparatively explore the laws of European contract law. The course will focus on the concept of a "common" contract law, ie the common principles of contract law in EU countries. The course will also study European-international sources of contract law such as the Vienna Convention on the Sale of Goods (CISG), the draft joint reference framework prepared for the European Commission and the proposed Common European Sales Law by the European Commission. The course will also focus on the principles and rules of European contract law, market rules contractual operations, movement of goods, services and securities, as well as best practices in this field.
