Course Description: The students prepare a term project on the related field of study in accordance to the program under the supervision of their supervisors.
Course Objectives: This course aims to support master students throughout their research activities to enable them develop their own research proposals. Its goal is rather modest as it attempts to apply their cumulative understanding and skills to specific research situation. A successful completion of the course is marked by the ability to do a project proposal and defending it in front of the jury.
COURSE OUTLINE
Week Topics
1 Introduction to the Course.
2 Research on different topics based on students’ research interests (no meeting).
3 Selecting definite project topics, and setting of deadlines (discuss with supervisor)
4 Develop short abstract ( title, research objectives, hypotheses/ research questions)
5 Literature Review ( Minimum 5 key articles from Science Direct) on the selected topic
6 Presentation 1 regarding week 2 to 5 tasks (18th November 2019).
7 Defining objectives, motivation, and significance of the study)
8 Updating Literature Review by 5 additional papers ( Science Direct)
9 Updating Literature Review by 5 additional papers (Science Direct) continues.
10 Updating the introduction and preparation for the second presentation.
11 Presentation 2 regarding the work done so far (16th December 2019).
12 Data collection for the model
13 Deciding on the model to be applied in line with data collected and the reviewed literature.
14 Finalization of project proposal and preparation for final presentation.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1 The students formulate a problem that demands sufficient knowledge from earlier courses on the topic and apply relevant economic theories and fundamental scientific methods.

3 The students critically evaluate material from different sources and give a clear and well-structured written account.
4 The students defend their final work reflecting the constructive suggestions and criticism done by the supervisor and the jury members.
