Course Description: This course includes an analytical reading on essential books, in relation to the history of architecture, which has served as milestones in the field. Ten Books of Vitruvius, I Quattro Libri of Alberti, Tezkiret’ül Bünyan of Mustafa Çelebi and Risaliye Mimariye of Cafer Efendi, Seven Lamps of Architecture and The Stones Venice of Ruskin, Toward new Horizons in Architecture, Vers un Architecture and Learning from Las Vegas of Venturi are the materials of this course.
