Course Description: Lënda do të fokusohet t’i japë studentit njohuri bazë të diskriminimit gjinor, stereotipeve dhe paragjykimeve gjinore, te barazisë, integrimit dhe drejtësise gjinore. Kursi, analizon gjithashtu modele legjislative të përpunuara të vendeve perëndimore në fushën e barazisë gjinore dhe studion legjislacionin ekzistues të barazisë gjinore në Shqipëri. Lënda synon të ofrojë modele legjislative të përpunuara në fushën e barazisë gjinore dhe të studiojë legjislacionin ekzistues të barazisë gjinore në Shqipëri.
Course Objectives: The purpose and main objectives of this course are to explain the concept of gender discrimination, gender stereotypes and prejudices, as well as gender equality, integration, and justice. Special emphasis will be placed on raising awareness about the importance of gender equality as a matter of respecting women's human rights. The course also aims to analyze the connections between the issue of gender equality and the legal field.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1 In-depth knowledge on the importance of gender and intersectional gender analysis through looking at policies and practices at national, European, and international levels.
2 Necessary skills on how to provide advice including legal services to the victims of certain crimes with special attention to social positionality of the victims in relation to gender, sexuality, race, class, ethnicity, (dis)ability, religion, nationality, and age.
3 Required ability on cooperation with other organizations; NGOs and GOs and practitioners at regional, national, and international levels to advocate for achieving gender justice.
