The Department of Banking and Finance (BAF) is part of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at EPOKA University. EPOKA is a private university, ranked among the top universities in Albania and one of the most competitive in the Western Balkans. Job Description

The BAF Department is looking for candidates to be assigned in the position of Lecturer in Accounting with experience in teaching a wide range of accounting courses such as: (e.g., Introduction to Accounting, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Advanced Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, International Accounting and IFRS etc.) and other similar courses in bachelor and master’s level. Candidates with a research interest in Finance and Accounting have priority in the selection process. The typical teaching load for a lecturer is on average 12 teaching hours per week while the maximum teaching load is 16 hours per week.

The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team, and contribute to the department, both in academic and administrative issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving course development and delivery, while conducting research with relevance and impact factor. In addition, the candidate will act as an academic advisor to students, supervise thesis, and perform other administrative tasks in collaboration with other members of the department as deemed necessary. A Teaching Assistant may be assigned (upon request and availability) to assist the lecturer with the courses to ensure a smooth and effective realization of the responsibilities and duties assigned.

Qualification Requirements

Candidates should hold a PhD degree diploma from a leading institution and have an established record of excellence in teaching and research within the advertised discipline. They should be fluent in English, as their teaching responsibilities will be exclusively in English.
