About the Department
The Department of Computer Engineering, part of the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering at EPOKA University, is a private university ranked among the top universities in Albania and one of the most competitive in the Western Balkans. The department invites applications for full-time positions from applicants holding a Master of Science Diploma, PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar areas, or holding an Associate Professor or Full Professor academic title, starting in the Fall Semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. The department offers undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate study programs, all accredited. Holding a PhD degree from EU or U.S. universities is an advantage.

Job Description
The Computer Engineering Department seeks three lecturers holding at least a PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar areas. Given the department's fast growth, we are particularly interested in candidates with experience in teaching a wide range of courses, such as C Programming, Object Oriented Programming, Database Management Systems, Web Technologies and Programming, Software Engineering, Software Testing, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, and other general courses in computer engineering.
The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching and supervising Undergraduate, Master, and PhD students, strengthening the collaboration between the department's sections, extending international collaboration through collaborative projects, publishing, and coordinating dissemination at an international scientific level. The candidates will also be responsible for conducting and delivering research with relevance and impact in the field of computer engineering, while driving course development and delivery.
In addition, the candidates will act as academic advisors and tutors to students as needed, including as academic advisors for student clubs, theses supervision, preparation of re-accreditation reports, and other administrative tasks in collaboration with other members of the department. A Teaching Assistant (Master student at the same time) will assist the instructor of the course in ensuring a smooth and effective realization of the responsibilities and duties assigned.

Qualification Requirements
Candidates applying for the Lecturer position should hold at least a PhD degree from a leading institution. People holding Associate Professor or Professor academic titles are also welcome to apply. Successful candidates should have an established record of excellence in teaching and research within the advertised discipline, and holding a PhD degree from a university in the EU, OECD, or G20 is an advantage. Candidates should be fluent in English, as all courses offered at Epoka University are taught in English.
