The Department of Banking and Finance (BAF) is part of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at EPOKA University. EPOKA is a private institution, ranked among the top universities in Albania and recognized as one of the most competitive universities in the Western Balkans. The department offers both undergraduate and graduate programs, all of which are fully accredited. The Bachelor’s program in Banking and Finance is delivered in English and holds international accreditation from ACCA, ensuring alignment with global professional standards. Job description
The BAF Department is looking for Professor/Associate Professor in Accounting with experience in teaching a wide range of finance courses (e.g., Financial Analysis, Intro to Accounting, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Accounting Information Systems) and other similar courses in bachelor, Master level. Candidates with research interests in Financial Technology (FinTech), Accounting, and Accounting Information Systems will be given priority in the selection process. The typical teaching load for a professor is on average 12 teaching hours per week.
The candidate should have very good communication and people skills and be able to work in a team and contribute to the department, both in academic and administrative issues. She/he will be responsible for driving course development and delivery, while conducting research with relevance and impact factors. In addition, the candidate will act as an academic advisor to students, supervise thesis and perform other administrative tasks in collaboration with other members of the department as deemed necessary. A Teaching Assistant will assist the professor with the courses to ensure a smooth and effective realization of the responsibilities and duties assigned.

Qualification Requirements
Candidates applying for the position should hold a PhD Degree from a leading institution and have an established record of excellence in teaching and research within the advertised discipline. Holding a PhD degree from a university in the EU, OECD, or G20 is an advantage. Candidates should be fluent in English as most courses offered at Epoka are taught in English.
